Abstract
238,420. Greville, E. R. G., and Read, F. W. Nov. 6, 1924. Electric appliances.-A Faradic current is supplied by an induction coil to a belt and controlled by a rheostat and an adjustable metronome interrupter. The coil is contained in a box a on the front of which are sliding contacts b<1> controlling the resistances. The metronome interrupter c interrupts at regular intervals the current supplied to the belt, the speed of the metronome being adjusted by a weight c<1> on the pendulum c<2>. The belt comprises electrodes e<1> - - e<4> mounted by means of loops g<1>, g<2> and studs g' on two elastic bands f<1>, f<2> which are provided with holes f<3> to receive the studs g<3>. The electrodes e<3>, e<4> are connected bv a lead h, the electrodes e<1>, e<2> being connected by an eyelet k<1> and stud k<2> which also fasten the belt. The electrodes are lined with cotton wool l<1>.
