Abstract
The invention comprises an appliance such as for cleaning floors, which is self propelled and may be powered by rechargeable batteries 4. The device is designed to follow a trace marked on the floor. This may be for example a reflective 'track' which defines the appliances route, and the trace can also be coded to cause the device to perform specific tasks. In the embodiment which comprises a chassis on which is mounted vacuum cleaning apparatus 8, a light illuminates the floor trace via a mirror and the reflection is sensed by a photo sensitive sensor 2 mounted on the appliance. In the embodiment the device in figure 4 is shown docking at a recharging station 9, where the switch 10 is automatically operated on docking, to switch off the power.

"EXHAUST" The invention is an automatic system in order to do house works.
The main principle of the system is reading information from the floor surface in order to drive machinery designed and employed for various specific jobs.
The invention wants reduce the human activity employed in the various indoor works, one example is the cleaning of the house floor.
An example of the invention is showed in the accompanying drawings.
The figure N 1 shows a scheme of the main devices employed in the system.
The central control unit (1) receive from the photo-sensible sensor (2) information from the floor surface and use this information to calculate the right command to input to an electric motor (3), employed for the motion, and to a command direction device (7) employed to drive the assembly.
A timer (6), programmed by an external person, decide the starting time of the job.
Two batteries (4) supply power for all the system including the front light (5).
The figure N 2 shows the plant of a trolley where are allocated the mentioned device of the figure number 1.
The figure number 3 shows the trolley of the figure number 2 where a Hoover (8) is fixed on the chassis.
In the figure number 3 the trolley is approaching to the recharging station where a battery charger (9) will start to recharge the battery as soon as the switch (10) will be pressed and the trolley will stop the motion.
In this figure is showed the reading system, where a front light reflected by a mirror on the surface of the floor permit to a photo-sensible sensor to read information on the floor.
The figure number 4 shows an example of reflecting trace on the floor (11) with an example of the system in operation.
Claims (4)
- VICT T Slt "CLAIMS" 1) Exhaust included the battery charger and the accessories is an automatic system designed in order to house an indoor works, where the automatic system read the necessary information to decide the various commands from the floor surface.
- 2) Exhaust as claimed in claim number 1 where accessories means that the system is provided of various devices in order to do different works.
- 3) Exhaust as claimed in claim number 1 where in battery recharged means that the power system has been supply by batteries and a battery charger charge the batteries periodically.
- 4) Exhaust is substantially as here in described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings number 1,2, 3,4.
