Abstract
237,103. Wynn, J. H. Aug. 2, 1924. Bangles; finger-rings.-A resilient bangle is formed of a number of hollow segments each closely engaging adjacent segments in a substantially circular flexible manner and forming a circular tubular member within which is disposed a limb, blade, or band spring operative upon the segments to make their flexibility resilient and to hold them in engagement with each other. Figs. 1 and 2 show a bangle in the representation of a snake in curled disposition. the ends c<2>, c<3> of the spring c being rigidly fixed as by soldering to the first and last segments a, a<9> to which the head e and tail f are rigidly attached. The small hollow segments a<3>, a<3>, Fig. 3, are of substantially truncated cone formation with the walls slightly curved. The resilient member c may be enclosed within a thin tubular member which may tightly fit the smaller diameters of the segments. One end of the bangle may have a watch attached thereto, and the bangle may be worn as an anklet, finger-ring, &c.
