Abstract

Telephones.-In telephone receivers of the kind having the magnets and diaphragm relatively adjustable and particularly applicable for loudspeakers, the magnets are mounted on a platform which can be caused to move axially by means of inclined planes by rotating either the platform or a part coacting with said platform. The platform 4, Fig. 1, is provided with a series of inclined planes 6 coacting with corresponding inclined planes 3 on the receiver casing 1. so that rotation of the platform 4 by means of the handle 10 produces axial movement of the platform 4. A spring 9 is employed to keep the inclined planes in contact. As shown in Fig. 4, the platform 4 is guided axially without rotation by pins 13, and the ring 14 having inclined planes 3 is rotatable by means of the handle 10. The platform 4 may be provided with projections instead of inclined planes.
