Abstract
An escape system by which passengers may disembark from an aloft aircraft. Comprising parachutes stored in front of all seats a spring driven latch secured to the distant end of the parachutes release cord ; a 'bar', uninterrupted, the distance between exits over and onto which the spring driven 'rip cord' latch is placed. Additionally, the incorporation of as many new exits as structurally feasible located in either the port or the starboard walls of the lavatory with a release bar on the side of the exit facing the nose of the aircraft, will provide an alternative exit with a greater positive safety margin.
Description
DESCRIPTIOM
ALOFT CIVIL PASSENGER AIRCRAFT ESCAPE II
THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW EXIT(S) , AS STRUCTURALLY FEAS
ABLE , LOCATED IN EITHER THE PORT OR STARBOARD WALL(S) OF THE
LAVATORY(S) , WITH A 'RELEASE BAR' - FICED TO THE SIDE OF
THE EXIT FACING THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT .
THE NEW EXIT IS RETAINED I. POSITION BY FOUR OR MORE
RELEASE LATCHES AS IN FIGS.3 , 4 & 5 .
THE NEW EXIT IS ALSO RETALIED BY AN INSET OVERNANG AS IN
FIGS. I , 2 , 3 & 5 .
