Abstract

Left- and right-eye views of a scene are captured by cameras 20 and 21 respectively to produce video signals 24, 25 and are interlaced 26 so that alternate pixels represent pixels from the left- and right-eye views (figure 3). The interlaced signals are then displayed on a screen having a suitable grid to give a stereoscopic effect, which may be comprised of a liquid crystal display. Means 28 may be provided to record the interlaced video signals. <IMAGE>
