Abstract
212,393. Thompson, C. G. A. Feb. 22, 1923. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Carburetting.-In carburettors of the kind wherein air is bubbled through the liquid fuel in a series of trays 4 provided with overflow pipes 6, the air tubes 5 are bent over at their upper ends so as to dip into the liquid. The casing 1 is provided at its lower end with an air-inlet chamber 11, and has a truncated conical upper portion 2 communicating with an outlet pipe 3 having a, non-return valve 7. Fuel is fed to the uppermost tray by a pipe 12, the supply being controlled by a valve fitted therein which is actuated by a rod 9 integral with a float 14 operating a chamber 8, in communication with an overflow pipe 10 from the lowermost tray.
