211,847. Sulzer FrÞres Soc. Anon. Feb. 20, 1923, [Convention date]. Cylinders, cooling.-The flange at the outer end of a cylinder liner has an annular cavity 6, the inner walls of which are thinner than the remaining portion of the liner. Cooling water passes from the cooling jacket 7, through the annular cavity and pipes 10, to a chamber 9 in the cylinder-head. Cleaning openings 11 are provided, the outer casing 4 of the cylinder extending to the bottom of the flange only.
