Abstract

A fastening tool, eg a tool having a tubular shank a fixed handle 15 and a linear sliding inner shaft having a thread at both ends. A pin mounted horizontally in the handle prevents rotation of inner shaft a flat surface on shaft allows up & down movement. A second (top) threaded handle 17 is screwed onto the male thread (5) of the inner shaft. Wood or metal screw fastenings having a flat head with a central threaded bore hole. The shaft is screwed into the fastenings threaded flat head the top handle 17 is tightened thereby clamping the fastenings head onto the tubular shank. This clamping of the fastening to the shank allows the fastening to be screwed into a workpiece and to be unscrewed. No other tool can remove these fastenings. This is a contraction clamping tool. Other embodiments relate to a fastening member and a door latch lock. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Anti tamper bolt, screw, & washer.
WOODWORK EMBEDDING SCREW, NUT, & COL LAR, & TOOL.
ANTI BREAK-IN LATCH DOOR LOCK. SELF LOCK ING BOLT FASTENINGS, & FITTINGS.
THIS PERTAINS TO AN ANTI TAMPER BOLT, SCREW, & WASHER.
This concept is designed as an "anti tamper bolt or screw fastenings. It is design- for use on any fixtures and fittings that are liable and or exposed to theft or vandalism. It is also for use on all types of security devices, Locks, Alarms, Window/door locks, Public building fittings, also ideal for screwing down valuable objects, equipment etc. Especially used for excluding unauthorized admittance into GAS & ELECTRICITY METERS, as the device has no visable means of unscrewing, without the use of the correct tool.
CONCEPT COMPRISES A threaded screw, or bolt fastening. The thread of the screw or bolt, being cut only half way up the shank of the screw or bolt, or partly threaded on the shank. This making the shank or shaft widen towards the head of the screw, this is in order that the screw can not be tightened into work piece, right down to the head, leaving the screw/bolt head standing proud from work piece. This can also be achieved with the use of a metal collar, or deep washer, the washer being a smaller diameter than the screw or bolt head, this washer will act as a spacer.
The bolt, or screw head itself, is smooth and flat on it's uppermost surface, with NO means of fastening or unfastening the screw or bolt. That is to say, NO screw driver slot cut in head, NO Philips screw driver fastening linkage. NO Allen (R.T.M.) key fitting, or any other fastener couplings, or tightening driving device linkage etc. Instead, the head is just a round flat virgin bolt or screw head.
In the case of the bolt, there will also be no hexagonal spanner fitting head either. (Although the hexagonal head could be left on the bolt). Also with the bolt, the metal spacer, or deep washer may be used, this allows for the use of conventional bolts, and bolt shanks etc.
FLOATING, OR FREE ROTATING WASHER.
This screw and bolt, instead of having the conventional means of fastening and unfastening, the screw or bolt will sit in, or on a floating washer, the washer being free to rotate, or loose when screw is tightened.
The washer can be designed in very many different ways, far too many ways to describe fully in this text, a few of the various designs are shown in the drawings.
The washer can be of a wide low profile, or flat type. Alternatively it can be in the shape of a BAR REL, or COLLAR. The washer will be formed in such a way as not to allow the round flat head of the screw or bolt, to protrude from the topmost surface of the washer. This is so as not to allow the gripping of any type of tool, such as PLIERS, MOLE GRIPS, SPANNERS, WRENCHES, SCREW DRIVERS or any other tool, other than the tool designed for this fastening, to gain a purchase or grip on the screw or bolts head. Thereby the fastening and unfastening of this screw, bolt and washer, can only be achieved with the use of one tool, the tool being especially designed for the job.
THE WASHER THREAD.
The washer will have a screw thread on it. The screw thread can be on any part of the washer, either on the inner surface, or mouth of the washer, or on the washers outer circumference. It is suggested that the thread be on the inner, or inside surface, or wall, of the washer or barrel. Or alternatively as already said, the thread can be on the outer, or outside wall of the washer or barrel.
The washer or barrel will be formed, or drilled in such a way, as to allow the screw or bolt to retain the washer, while still allowing the washer to freely rotate, even when the screw or bolt is fastened down tightly into the workpiece, or retaining fittings etc. The washer will have an inner flat surface, on which the bolt, or screw head will sit, thereby retaining washer flush onto workpiece.
The washer remains in free rotation, or floating, because the screw or bolt when tightened to it's required torque, the screw or bolt cannot tighten so far as to tighten the washer or collar, clamping the washer or collar between the screw head and the surface of the work piece.
The washer or collar while still being free to rotate (when screw is fastened), will have a minimum of clearance between the workpiece, and the lower or bottom surface of the washer or collar etc.
This is so as not to allow a screw driver to pass underneath the washer or collar, thereby exerting leverage pressure, or purchase on the screw or bolt, and thereby enabling unauthorized removal of the fastening by force.
FASTENING & UNFASTENING TOOL.
This fastening and unfastening tool, is designed for use with this "anti tamper bolt, screw, and washer only. The tool comprises two handles. The main body, or handle of the tool, will have a shaft or shank, the centre of the shank, and the handle will be drilled right through, forming a bore hole through the length of the tool. This bore hole, forms the shaft or shank into a tube or hollow barrel. (At any part of the inside of the bore hole, will be a female thread cut.) At the working end of the shank, shaft, or barrel, will be a male,(or female) thread cut. The thread can be cut to any length, as long as it is long enough to screw into the thread on the washer, or barrel on fastening. This male, or female thread will allow the tool to be screwed into, or onto the washer or collar, by means of the thread cut into or onto the washer, collar, or barrel etc.
This part of the shank or tool, however will not, (or may not) make direct contact with the head of the bolt or screw, when the screw is within the washer, and the tool is in fastening position.
Instead, the shaft or shank of the fastening tool, will, (or may) be drilled through it's centre. This allows a second and smaller diameter shaft or shank to be passed right down through the centre of the tool, (through the shank of the tool). This inner shaft or shank will be longer than the shaft, or shank of the main body or handle and shank of the tool, and will protrude out from the handle of the main part of the tool.
Mounted to the protruding inner shaft, will be a second rotating or tightening handle, (or any other means of tightening the inner shaft). This is for tightening the inner shaft, or shank within the main body of the tool and handle. The inner tightening shaft or shank will also have a thread cut onto it.
The thread being cut at any point along the length of the inner shaft. A corresponding female thread will be cut into the central bore hole of the tool body and handle structure. This allows the centralinner shaft to be screwed or tightened, through the centre of the tool, the working end of the inner shaft then protrudes out from the larger shank of the tool body, (when inner shaft is tightened). In tightening the inner shaft, by turning the top handle, the inner shaft then engages with the screw or bolts flat head. As the inner shaft is tightened onto the head of the screw, a great deal of pressure, or force is exerted onto the screws head, thereby drawing the washer up and clamping the washer to the underside of the head of the screw or bolt.
As the washer is drawn and tightened against the head of the screw, it exacts enough pressure on the two components (washer and screw) to allow the removal (untightening), or tightening of the screw, by turning the main body of the fastening tool.
This screw and bolt fastening is vertually impossible to remove, or be tampered with, without this correct fastening tool. As the thread cut into the washer, and or shank or barrel of the tool head, can be of any (obscure) size and pitch, this allows for individual control of the tool, and type, and restricts the usage of the tools to authorised persons etc. (The thread however can also be of a standard size and pitch, for commercial use.) FASTENING TOOL The fastening tool can also be designed with a fixed handle, the handle being mounted onto the main shank or shaft of tool. A second rotatable handle can be mounted to the top of the main handle. A slot, or key slot on the inner bore hole, of the top handle, allows the inner shaft to rotate and fasten, when the top handle is turned.A (male or female) key on the inner shaft, drives the inner shaft to tighten or untighten as top handle is turned. The inner shaft slides up and down within the top handle, by means of the connecting key and slot. The key being driving force. The inner shaft is not directly fixed to the top handle. The top handle rotates on main tool handle by means of a bearing.
The inner shaft can have any other means of tightening, for example an ALLEN (R.T.M.) KEY, (male or female connection). A hexagonal nut or bolt type of head or linkage connector, for a spanner etc. Screw driver slot, Philips, or square spanner fitting, or handle, or vice type handle, or crank type handle. Or any other tighteningly driving connecting device.
The washer can also have a recess cut on it's lower surface, or surface flush with workpiece, this would be to allow a "U" shaped tool head to be inserted underneath the washer, the inner shaft the exerting pressure on the washer and screw head in the same way as described above.
COUNTER SUNK WASHER.
The floating/free rotating washer can also be formed as a counter sunk washer, this fastens in the same way as described above, but allowing the screw and washer to be set into the workpiece, or work surface flush, with no protrusion. The screws used with all of these washers described in this text, can also be of the wood type screws. Chipboard screws, and any other type of screw fastenings or bolts.
METAL, PLASTIC, OR WAX SEALS.
A metal, plastic, or wax plug can be inserted into the washer, collar, or barrel type, this will add protection. The plug can be threaded or none threaded, with, or without, a fastening connection slot for a screw driver, philips, allen key, or any other driving connectors.
The wax plug is for use in sealing the washers, when the fastening is used for electricity meters, and gas meters etc. The wax plug can also be stamped with the electricity boards sealing mark, for security examination by meter readers etc. The barrel, collar, or washer could also have a small hole drilled through it to allow a sealing wire, and led seal to be used, again with a stamped mark.
The washer, barrel, or collar can have instead of a thread cut into it. It can have a bayonet fitting.
The tool also would have a BAYONET FITTING, the tools fitting being (male). Although the fitting can be the other way round, the tool can have a female fitting, and the washer/collar having a (male) bayonet fitting.
This technique of fastening can also be used on many types of security deives, such as security window bolts, locks, etc. Burglar alarms, and other fittings. Window and door latches, window catches and others.
THIS PERTAINS TO ANTI BREAK-IN LA TCH DOOR LOCK.
This is a latch lock, mainly for use on outside doors etc.
CONCEPT COMPRISES Two types of door lock. The first type, the lock unit and lock bolt remains the same as a conventional type of YALE, or CHUBB latch lock for example. That is to say, a bolt with one flat locking surface, and a round automatic closing or locking surface, allowing lock to operate automatically on closing of the door.
On the unit of the lock that is screwed, or mounted to the door frame, there will be a metal plate. This metal plate will be mounted over, or in the opening or aperture that allows the male bolt to insert, thereby locking the bolt within the aperture.
The metal plate will be mounted within the confinds of the aperture, allowing the plate to pass within the recess or aperture. The plate will be mounted to the body of the lock unit by means of a pivoting or pivoted shaft, hinge or bearing.
The pivot shaft will be mounted onto the edge of the recess or aperture of the lock unit that would be nearest to the outside of the building. Or the edge of aperture nearest to the door frame etc.
A spring will be fitted to the metal plate, allowing the metal plate to remain closed. This closing off the recess or aperture, (when the locks bolt is not in aperture and the door is open). The plate in this position, will be flush with the working flat surface of the lock unit, or in parallel with the inside surface of the door frame (that surface between door and frame).
When the door is closed, and the locks bolt engages into the recess or aperture, (of the door frame unit), the metal plate is depressed into the recess or aperture, (by the locks bolt), or catch.
Because the metal plate is pivoted in such a way, as to allow the tail section of the metal plate to breach, or extend across the gap between the door and the door frame. With the metal plate in this extended position, the plate acts as a safety guard to the curved surface of the locks bolt. Thereby preventing forced entry into premises by the use of inserting cards, knives, screw drivers etc., between the gap in the door.
No matter how hard the object or tool is forced into the gap, the metal plate will not give way, as it will be forced against the inside surface of the lock unit.
SECOND TYPE OF LOCK When a flat door frame plate is used, the door frame plate will be formed with a bent or curved entry point. This is where the curved surface of the locks bolt makes initial contact with the door frame plate, the plate thereby depressing the bolt in order to allow the door to close and lock etc.
The bend of the door frame plate can be of a shallow throw. The locks bolt itself will have a flat surface protruding out from the lock. This flat surface will occur on the same surface of the bolt, as the curved surface. The curve, or curving of the bolt will only occur several millimetres from the bolts protrusion from the body of the lock. This flat surface will extend or protrude out from the lock enough that any object being inserted into the gap in the door, will meet the flat surface, (not the curved surface) thereby making it very difficult to slip the lock open, and making entry into premises etc.

THIS TEXT PERTAINS TO SELF LOCKING BOLT FASTENING & FITTINGS.
CONCEPT COMPRISES a metal fastening bolt.
The bolt being drilled through it's centre. Passed into the drilled centre of the bolt, is a second, and smaller diameter bolt, or shaft. The second bolt being the longer than the main bolt. The inner bolt protruding out from main bolt by a few millimetres.
- A cone shaped nut, the cone nut being threaded is tightened onto the threaded shank of the inner bolt. The smaller inner bolt is then tightened, drawing the cone shaped nut into a tapered recess at the threaded end of the main bolts shank. A slot is cut into the end of the main bolts shank, this allows the cone shaped nut to spread the thread of the main bolt, thereby locking the bolt tightly into workpiece, or onto a hexagonal nut etc.
At the head of the inner bolt/shaft can be a screwdriver slot, allen key, philips, or a hexagonal spanner fitting. Or any other drivingly fastening connectors.
A locking tab washer can also be used between the head of the main bolt, and the head of the inner bolt or shaft etc.
ALTERNATIVE LOCKING DEVICE.
A wedge shaped slot can be cut on the underside, or underneath surface of the bolts head. (Or surface of the bolt that is flush with workpiece). A high tensile toughened steel wedge will be hammered into the slot. The wedge will have teeth, or a metal cutting edge, the edge thereby cutting a groove into the workpiece, and locking the fastened bolt tightly into position. If a washer is used, the washer will have a section cut out of it to allow the wedge to pass through it. (The nut can also be locked by this wedge in the same way.) ALTERNATIVE A hole is drilled through the head of the bolt.
The hole will be drilled in parallel with the bolts shank. The hole will however not be drilled in the centre of the head, instead it will be drilled off centre. The hole can be threaded or unthreaded.
When the bolt is tightened into the workpiece, a drill and drill bit is then inserted, and a small hole is drilled into workpiece. A steel rod or peg is then hammered into the hole, or the peg is screwed into the hole, thereby locking the bolt into position, as the end of the peg inserts into the workpiece. The hole can also be partly drilled into the edge of the bolts shank or the thread of the bolt, thereby forming an immovable locking device. This device can also apply to the nut as well.

METAL PLATE EMBEDDING FASTENING This concept is designed for use in fastening wood pieces together, or for fastening fittings to wooden door, windows or any other wood surface.
CONCEPT COMPRISES A metal or plastic collar, the collar being formed in the shape of a short tube or barrel. The tube or collar will have a slot, or slots cut completely, or partly through the collar. (The slot will be cut in parallel with the length of the collar). If there are more than one slot cut into, or moulded into the collar, the slots will be cut only partly through the collar. There can be any practical number of slots cut into the collar.
On the outer surface of the collar can be either smooth, or the collar can have small teeth or burs.
There can also be any number of teeth or burs for the practical purpose of embedding the collar into the woods surface, when the fastening-is engaged or locked into the drilled wood etc.
Placed into the collar will be a cone shaped nut, the cone shaped nut being drilled through it's centre, the drilled bore hole also having a thread cut, a female thread cut into it.
The cone shaped nut can possibly have a ridge, or groove on it's outer surface. This ridge or groove will fit into the cut slot on the outer collar.
This allows the screwing and tightening tool to be inserted into the cone nut and tightened drawing the cone nut into the outer collar, without the inner cone nut slipping round while tightening occurs.
The collar and cone nut can be-shorter. The collar having a groove cut on outer circumference. This is for use on steel plate.
EMBEDDING FASTENER, FASTENING TOOL.
This is a tool designed for fastening and embedding the collar and cone shaped nut into a drilled hole in wood etc. The tool will have a threaded shaft or shank at it's working end. This thread can be fixed to the tool, thereby requiring a tool for each of the screw or bolt sizes. Or alternatively, the threaded shank or shaft can be interchangeable.
This allows the use of one tool handle, with different attachable heads, or threaded shanks. One threaded head for each screw thread size, screw size, and screw pitch etc.
The main barrel, shaft or shank of the tool itself will be of the same diameter as the collar of the fastening. This allows for deep insertion of the fastening into the drilled hole in the wood. With the interchangeable tool heads, the heads will have to have a butt end, or short shank, the width of which will correspond to the size of the collar, cone nut, and screw size being used etc, as the fastenings sizes will depend on the size of the screws being used. This having graded sizes.
The screw head of the tool is screwed or tightened onto the cone shaped nut, with the collar between the cone nut, and the butt end of the tool head. The nut and collar are then inserted into the drilled wood, the nut and collar being on the end of the tool. (The fastening is inserted to required depth). The tool having a short threaded shank at it's tip, is then screwed or tightened. The tool being turned clockwise, draws the cone shaped nut into the outer collar, the nut thereby spreading or widening the outer collar and locking the collar and threaded nut tightly into the drill hole in the wood.
With the fastening locked into the wood, it is now ready to insert a conventional screw or bolt fastening. This can be used for mounting fittings onto wood, or for fastening pieces of wood together using blunt conventional screws, instead of using wood screws etc.

ANTI TAMPER, OR TAMPER PROOF NUT & FREE ROTATING WASHER OR COLLAR & FASTENING TOOL.
ANTI TAMPER NUT & FREE ROTA TING WASHER.
This concept, or version of the "ANTI TAMPER FASTENING" is designed as the female counterpart to the anit tamper screw or bolt fastening.
It is designed for use on all types of protruding threaded MALE STUDING. That is to say, any threaded male studing or threaded shank that is fixed or protrudes from a work piece, wall, or equipment and fittings etc.
This anti tamper nut can also be used as a security nut on a conventional screw or bolt. Or alternatively, the anti tamper nut can be used as the nut on an anti tamper screw or bolt fastening. This making for a completely tamper proof NUT & BR< BOLT.
CONCEPT COMPRISES: A circular or round nut, the nut having (NO HEX AGONAL SPANNER FITTING). The top surface of the nut being flat or tapered, with (NO SCREW DRIVER SLOT) cut into the uppermost surface.
Drilled through the centre of the round nut, will be a threaded bore hole. This for fastening the nut onto studing, bolt or screw etc.
On the outer circumference of the nut will be either a widening taper, or a protruding ridge or lip. This ridge or lip making the topmost area of the nut wider than the base of the nut. This ridge or lip can extend partly or completely around the circumference of the nut. The ridge or lip acting as a screw or bolt head does thereby retaining the washer or collar in position while remaining in free rotation.
NUT & WASHER OR COLLAR. The nut is then placed into the FREE ROTATING WASHER OR COL LAR, with the wider circumference or ridge of the nut uppermost.
THE ANTI TAMPER NUT FASTENING TOOL.
This tool has a tubular or hollow outer shank, with a handle fastened or fixed to the shank. The tube or hollow shank will extend to the top of the handle. A female thread is then cut into the innermost surface of the shank, at the handle end of the shank.
At the tip or bit end of the shank, or working end, will be either a MALE or FEMALE thread cut either into or onto the shank.
An INNER SHAFT is then passed into, or through the centre of the hollow outer shank. This inner shaft has a corresponding male thread cut onto it.
This thread thereby engaging and screwing into the female thread in the top or uppermost part of the hollow shank, at the handle end.
This inner shaft will extend and protrude from the outer hollow shank (AT THE BIT OR WORKING TIP) by several millimetres. Drilled into the tip/bit end of the inner tightening shaft, will be a bore hole (UNTHREADED), this bore hole is to allow the male studing or screw, or bolt shank, to pass freely up into the bore hole recess. This is in order that the nut can be tightened to it's fullest extent without any obstruction by a solid inner shaft.
The inner tightening shaft will have a second (top) handle fixed to the inner shaft, the shaft protruding out from the hollow shaftishank, at the (handle end) by several centimetres, or several millimetres.
This second (top) handle allows the inner shaft to be screwed down into the outer shank and handle, thereby exerting pressure on the circular nut and the washer/collar, thereby locking, or clamping the washer or collar to the nut.
This forming enough pressure to unscrew or screw the fastening. The tools outer threaded shank being first screwed onto, or into the thread on the washer or collar, with the nut contained inside the washer or collar. The inner shaft is then tightened causing pressure on the interface between the nut and the washer or collar ANTI TAMPER METAL WORK SCREW OR BOLT, & BR< WOODWORK SCREW & FASTENING TOOL.
CONCEPT COMPRISES: A metal work screw or bolt, and a WOOD SCREW, The first version, has a counter sunk head, this can be for both the METAL WORK SCREW & THE WOODWORK SCREW.
The head of the metal and woodwork screw or bolt, having a flat round head, with (NO SLOT, AL LEN KEY, PHILIPS), or other conventional tool connections.
A bore hole will be drilled through the centre of the screw/bolts flat head. The bore hole can be any practical depth, and will have a thread cut into the bore hole. The bore hole is drilled in parallel with the screws shank, and will be several millimetres deep.
SECOND VERSION: This type is a none counter sunk head type, (the head protruding from the work piece). This type will have a shallow tapered head, or a low profile tapered head. A bore hole will be drilled into the centre of the tapered head by several millimetres.
The bore hole also having a threaded cut into it.
THIRD VERSION: This type has a circular or round screw or bolt head. The sides of the screw/bolt head having vertical sides as on a conventional screw head. This type will also have a bore hole drilled into the head, the bore also being threaded. This type will also, or may also require the fitting of the anti tamper FREE ROTATING WASHER OR COLLAR.
The washer or collar will protect the head, in order that the screw/bolt or WOOD SCREW cannot be removed (unfastened) with PLIERS, MOLE GRIPS, or any other tool other than the correct tool, because the screw head is protected by the washer or collar, it makes it impossible to remove the screw without the correct tool.
WOODWORK SCREW: This is a wood screw of a conventional type, the screw having a flat counter sunk head. Or a head with (NO SCREW DRIVER SLOT, ALLEN (R.T.M.) KEY FITTING, PHILIPS, POSI DRIVE or any other conventional tool connections, instead the head has a bore hole drilled into the centre of the head. (Drilled in parallel with screws shank.) The bore hole has a thread cut into it.
FASTENING TOOL This fastening tool is for use with the: ANTI TAMPER METAL WORK SCREW/BOLT & WOOD WORK SCREW.
This fastening tool has a hollow tubular shank or shaft. The hollow shank being of any practical length. Mounted to the hollow tubular shank will be a handle, the tubular shank or hollow, passing through, and coming up to the top of the handle.
This forms a hollow or bore hole right through the shank and handle.
An INNER SHAFT is passed into the hollow tubular shank. The inner shaft will protrude from the (bit) or working end of the shank by several millimetres. The inner shaft will also protrude-from the handle of the tool by several centimetres, this making the inner shaft longer than the tubular shanks handle of the tool. The inner shaft will have a thread cut onto it at the (tip or bit) end of the inner shaft.
A thread will also be cut onto the upper or other end of the inner shaft, (at the handle end of the inner shaft). The inner shaft can widen at the handle end, allowing a larger thread to be cut onto this end, than the thread at the (bit) end of the shaft.
The inner shaft extending or protruding out from the centre, or central axis of the handle, of the main body of the tools tubular shank by several centimetres. This protruding threaded inner shaft is to allow a second (top) handle to be screwed onto the inner threaded shaft.
FASTENING TOOL.
The (top) handle will-have a drilled bore hole, the hole being through the handles central axis.
The bore hole will also be threaded, the thread size and pitch corresponding with the (male) thread size and pitch on the handle end of the inner shaft.
The main tubular shank and handle of the tool, can or will have a means whereby the inner shaft will rotate with the turning of the main handle and tubular shank. This rotation of the inner shaft will be achieved, while still allowing a FREE LINEAR MOVEMENT of the inner shaft UP & DOWN within the tubular shank.
This can be achieved with either a flat section, or segment on one or two sides of the inner shaft, and an ANTI ROTATION PIN mounted diagonally across the flat section of the inner shaft. This anti rotation pin can be mounted either in the handle or the tubular shank of the main body of the tool.
The ANTI ROTATION & FREE LINEAR (UP & BR< DOWN) MOVEMENT, can also be achieved by means of a SQUARE SECTION OR SEGMENT mounted onto any practical part of the inner shaft.
Also a corresponding (female) square section/segment will be mounted within the tubular shank, or the main handle of the tool.
This flat or square sided section will, or can, also act as a stop, thereby stopping the inner shaft from sliding right out from the tubular shank and handle, as there is no other direct means of retaining the inner shaft within the shank and handle. A SURCLIP, or a WASHER, or any other means of retaining the inner shaft within the tubular shank and handle may be used.
FASTENING PROCEDURE: The threaded (TIP or BIT) of the inner shaft of the fastening tool, is screwed into the (female) threaded bore hole, in the head of the screw fastening, or the bolt head, or is screwed into the head of the WOOD SCREW.
The inner shaft is screwed into the screws head, by turning the tools handle, without the inner shaft slipping within the tubular shank, by means of the anti rotation pin. Once the tool bit (inner shaft) has been screwed into the screw or bolts head, the (top) or (uppermost) threaded handle is then tightened.
This tightening of the inner shaft then draws the screw or bolt head against the working surface or (tip or bit) end of the tubular outer shank. This tightening of the top handle thereby exerts enough pressure of the tools shank against the screws head to allow the fastening (screw into, and unscrewing) of these screw fastenings.
There may also be a washer, a washer of the conventional type, placed between the handle on the main body of the tool, and the (top) handle.
This is to allow the top handle to be tightened with ease.
This fastening tool can also be used in conjunction with the "WOODWORK EMBEDDING SCREW, NUT & COLLAR, & THE METAL PLATE EMBED DING FASTENING", as set out on (specification sheet 6 of 11).
A hexagonal spanner fitting or connection can be fitted to one or both of the fastening tools handle or handles. This is for fitting a spanner to the handles to allow greater tightening of the inner shaft to the screw head, or washer or collar.

Claims (5)

CLAIMS 1. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL & BR< FASTENINGS. The tool having an outer tubular or hollow shank, the shank being of any practical length or width. Mounted to or at one end of the tubular outer shank will be a handle, the handle being of any practical handheld type, or 'T' section handle, or 'T' bar handle (sliding or fixed), or hexagonal spanner fitting handle. 2. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL & BR< FASTENINGS. The bit, or tip, or working end of the tools tubular shank can be flat, or have teeth cut into it's working surface. 3. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL & BR< FASTENINGS. The tool having an inner shaft, the inner shaft being contained within the hollow tubular shank. The inner shaft will protrude from the outer tubular shank by several millimetres at the bit or working end. This inner shaft will have a thread cut of any pratical size or pitch, the thread corresponding with that of the fastenings. The inner shaft will also protrude at the handle end of the tubular shank by several millimetres or several centimetres. This end of the inner shaft will also have a thread cut of any practical size and pitch there on. 4. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL & BR< FASTENINGS. A flat surface, or square section, or slot will be machined onto part of the inner shaft. A pin will be mounted horizontally to the inner shaft at the handle or shank of the tool, the pin being mounted in such a way as to engage with the flat or square section surface of the inner shaft. The pin preventing rotation of the inner shaft within the tubular shank. The pin also allowing linear up and down movement of the inner shaft within the shank, while also retaining the inner shaft within the shank not allowing the shaft to slip out of the tools shank. 5. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL & BR< FASTENINGS. A tool having a second female threaded handle mounted or screwed onto the topmost part of the tools male threader inner shaft. This second handle can be of any practical type as with the main tool handle. This second handle will have a hollow female threaded bore hole in or around it's central axis. The second handles thread will correspond to that of the inner shaft (at handle end of the inner shaft). This second handle allows the inner shaft to be drawn through the tubular shank as the main handle is held, and the (top) second handle is tightened, thereby clamping the threaded (female threaded) fastenings to the outer tubular shank. This is a contraction clamping tool. 6. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL & BR< FASTENINGS. TAMPER-PROOF FASTENINGS. The security fastenings or tamper-proof fastenings being of WOOD or METAL screw fastening types of any kind. The screw heads being of countersunk or protruding head type(s). 7. TAMPER-PROOF FASTENINGS. The screw heads being flat, without screw-driver slot(s), philips, allen key, or any other conventional tool fittings. The fastenings (screws) will have a female threaded bore hole, the bore hole being at the central axis of the screws head(s). This threaded bore hole will be several millimetres deep, or any practical depth for the purpose of clamping the screw head to the tubular tools outer shank or bit thereon. The thread size and pitch of the bore hole on the screw head will correspond to that of the male thread size and pitch of the tools inner shaft, at the (BIT) or working end of the tools inner shaft. 8. TAMPER-PROOF FASTENINGS. The tools male threaded inner shaft is then inserted and screwed into the female threaded bore hole at the screws head or fastenings head(s). This is achieved by turning/rotating the main body of the tool, as the inner shaft will rotate with the outer shank or body of the tool. By turning, screwing, or tightening the (TOP) second handle of the tool, the inner shaft is drawn through the outer tubular shank, thereby clamping the screw fastenings flat head onto the tools outer tubular shank. This clamping being tight enough to allow the screw fastenings to be screwed into, and removed (unscrewed) from any wood or metal work piece. The fastenings being used for securing electricity reading meters, or any other security devices and allowing no other tools to be used for their extraction or removal. SUB CLAIM. An expansion fastening for use in bore holes in wood and metal plate, the fastening comprising a round tapered and threaded nut. This tapered nut is placed into an outer collet, the collet having a corresponding taper to the nut. The collet also having a single slot cut, or four half or part cut slots. The tapered nut and collet are screwed onto the fastening tool in such a way as to allow expansion of the outer collet as the tools top handle is tightened. The fastening is then inserted into workpiece bore and locked into place, the top handle is untightened and the tool unscrewed from fastening. CLAIMS
1. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL & BR< TWO COMPONENT FASTENINGS.
This is an expansion clamping tool using a two component fastening, METAL or WOOD screw fastenings.
A tamper-proof tool having a hollow tubular shank. The tubular shank having a handle (fixed) at the top end, or at one end. The handle being of any practical type, round,'T bar (fixed) or (sliding), hexagonal spanner filling, or other.
2. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL.
The tools tubular shank will have a female thread cut into the shanks central hollow bore, the thread size and pitch being of any practical size and pitch for the size of tool etc. This thread will be cut at the handle end of the tubular shank.
3. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL.
The tools tubular shank will also have a means of attaching a two component fastening onto the tools shank at the bit or working end of the shank.
This can comprise of a MALE THREAD cut onto the outer surface of the shank (at the bit end), or a 2, 3, 4, or more pin bayonet filling, male or female, or a tapered inner sleeve within the shank, and a corresponding tapered inner shaft, the tool having a slot or slots cut into the tip or bit of the shank in order to allow expansion of the bit end of the shank. This is to allow the washer or collar of the two component fastenings to be firmly attached to the outer shank. A female thread can also be cut at the bit end of the shank.
4. A TAMPER-PROOF FASTENING TOOL.
The tool will have an inner shaft, the shaft having a fixed handle of (any practical type) mounted at one end of the inner shaft. This inner shaft will have a male thread cut onto it's surface at (any practical point), this male thread will correspond with the size and pitch of the female thread at the handle end of the tubular shank. The inner shaft when screwed into place within the outer tubular shank will protrude out from the tubular shank by several millimetres, the inner shaft being slightly longer in length than the tubular shank.
5. A thief-proof door latch lock the pivoted metal plate having an adjustable position pivoted bearing comprising an adjustment screw, or spring, or a rubber or plastic strip, the strip being mounted onto the plates back edge this is to allow the plate to extend across a large gap between the door and door frame unit.
5. A TAMPER-PROOF SCREW FASTENING(S) A two component screw fastening, or FREE RO TATION FASTENING.
A screw fastening having a deeper, or slightly deeper head than conventional metal or wood screws. The head of the screw being completely flat with no screw-driver slot, or philips, or any other tool fittings. The thread of this screw is only partly cut up the length of the screws shank leaving the shank to widen towards the screws head.
This allows the screws head to remain proud from the surface of the work-piece leaving a gap between the work-piece and the screws head. This gap can be from one thousandth of an inch up to several millimetres, (when fastening is screwed down tightly).
7. A TAMPER-PROOF SCREW FASTENING(S).
A screw fastening, the screw being placed and seated within a deep washer or collar, the washer or collar being allowed to freely rotate when the screw fastening is tightly screwed into place in the work-piece.
8. A TAMPER-PROOF SCREW FASTENING(S).
A free rotation washer or collar the washer or collar having a means of releasably fastening the washer or collar and screw fastening onto the tool bit. This can be achieved by the use of a male or female thread cut onto or into the inner or outer surface of the washer or collar, the thread size and pitch of the weasher/collar must correspond with the thread size and pitch at the BIT or working end of the tubular shank of the fastening tool. (The screw being seated in the washer or collar before mounted to tool bit.)
9. A TAMPER-PROOF SCREW FASTENING(S).
A free rotation washer or collar the washer or collar having a means of releasably securing the washer or collar onto the tool bit or shank. This can also be achieved with the use of MALE or FE MALE bayonet fitting mounted onto the washer or collar, with corresponding bayonet fittings on the tool bit.
10. A TAMPER-PROOF SCREW FASTENING(S).
A free rotation washer or collar the washer or collar having NO thread, NO bayonet fittings, the inner wall of the washer or collar having a machined ridge or lip at it's uppermost opening. This washer or collar is for use with an expanding tubular shank tool, the tool shank expanding and clamping onto the inner surface of the wall of the washer or collar.
11. A TAMPER-PROOF SCREW FASTENING(S).
A screw fastening being seated within a deep washer or collar, the washer or collar then being mounted onto the tool bit and secured by means described above, with fastening and fastening washer/collar being held on tool bit, the tools (TOP) or second handle is then turned and tightened. The inner shaft of the tool depresses the screw head clamping the screw onto the inside surface of the washer or collar, the two components thereby acting as one by friction cohesion.
SUB CLAIMS
1. A thief-proof door latch lock, this lock having device that prevents a screw-driver or jemmy being forced between the door and door frame thereby forcing entry into premises.
2. A thief-proof door latch lock the main latch lock unit being of a conventional type, with a slight recess on the locks body at the leading edge of the curved locking bolt. The locks bolt is of any conventional type.
3. A thief-proof door latch lock the door frame unit having a metal or durable plastic plate mounted across the door frame unit recess, the plate being pivoted on a bearing. The metal plate will be sprung thereby retaining the plate in a closed position the plate covering the door frame unit recess (when latch lock bolt is not engaged within the door frame unit).
4. A thief-proof door latch lock, when the door is closed, and the lock unit bolt is engaged into the door frame unit, the locks bolt will depress the trailing end of the pivoted plate into the door frame unit recess. The pivoting metal plate being pivoted approximately 1/4 to 1/2 of the plates length allowing the back edge or end of the plate to protrude across the gap between the door and the door frame. The metal plate will only bridge the gap when the locks bolt is engaged into the door frame unit, when the bolt is removed the sprung plate will return to a closed position that is to say the plate then will be flush with the inside surface of the door frame unit thereby allowing the door to be opened in the usual way.
