Abstract

A cutting apparatus suitable for cutting composition proofs, films and the like in the graphic industry, comprises a support surface 4 for the materials to be cut, a blade 2 which is movable relative to the support surface 4, a guide rail 6 which extends in a longitudinal direction of the support surface 4, and means 9 to 12 displaceable along said guide rail, for longitudinal guiding of the blade 2, arranged on the underside of the support surface, said means 9 to 12 being rigidly connected to a holding means 19 for holding the blade 2, by a bracket member 15 which engages laterally around the longitudinal edge of the guide rail 6. <IMAGE>
