Abstract

200,733. Drescher, H. Sept. 5, 1922. Holders with clamping devices for mops.-A mop comprising fabric material F is disposed around the stem of a rustless double-pronged nail A and clamped between a metal washer B and a washer C of leather, rubber, textile or metal. The mop handle is provided with a socket integral with or attached to a flange E which is formed with two slots for engagement with two prongs on the washer B. The socket :may be attached rigidly to the flange or so that the flange may rotate on the handle when the mop is in use. In assembling the mop, the nail A is passed through a central hole in the flange E and through the washers and the fabric F, the prongs of the washer B being passed through the slots in the flange E and bent at right angles, while the prongs of the nail A are bent back against the base of the washer C.
