Abstract

In a releasable tube coupling of the kind having a collet with resilient arms which are forced radially inwardly by co-operating surfaces on the collet and a surrounding body member as the collet and tube are drawn axially outwardly, so thereby gripping the tube, locking means are provided to prevent the collet being pushed axially inwardly for the purpose of releasing the tube. In one embodiment shown in Figure 5, the locking means comprise projections 45 on the collet which abut against an end face 47 on the body of the coupling so preventing the collet being pushed inwardly unless it is rotated to a position where the projections 45 can enter recesses 46 in the end face 47. <IMAGE>
