Abstract

Amines are prepared by reacting an alcohol, aldehyde or ketone having up to twenty-five carbon atoms with ammonia, or a primary or secondary amine having from one to eight carbon atoms in a reducing atmosphere in the presence of a catalyst comprising from 0.05 to 50 per cent by weight of copper and from 0.05 to 50 per cent by weight of tin supported on a porous carrier.
