Abstract

An electrical connector 10 for multi-conductor, flat cables includes a base member 12 with insulation- displacing contacts 20 projecting from its top and a cover member 14 apertured to receive the contacts 20. A slot 34 in the cover member 14 receives the cable. The cover 14 and base 12 are held in a pre- assembly position by a latch yoke 24 positioned between two stops 28, 30. In a final assembly position, the latch yoke 24 is beyond both stops 28, 30. <IMAGE>
