Abstract

208,864. Gabriel, C. E. P. Nov. 8, 1922. Turn-button fasteners.-A fastener for doors, &c., of the type in which a pivotal arm is mounted on an attachment plate and influenced by a spring, comprises an arm 1 mounted on a plate 4 by means of a screw 8, a spring 9 working in a recess in the arm, and ribs 5 beneath the arm which engage with corresponding recesses in the plate 4 in the open and locking position of the arm. In a modification, Fig. 4, the spring is connected to the arm and to the plate and acts to return the arm to locking position, and a projection 12 on the arm moves in a quadrant-shaped recess on the plate, thus limiting the movement of the arm.
