10,156. Hatt, L. R. July 12. Overlap joints with screwed spigot or socket.- A joint for two sections A, B of steam, gas, or like piping comprises a screw-threaded socket C connecting the two sections, and a back-nut D, the abutting faces of the socket and lock-nut being flat, and the end of the socket being made of the same external dimensions as the back-nut. In the construction shown the back-nut is hexagonal, and the socket has a cylindrical part C<3> and an enlarged hexagonal end C<1>. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 25,812/01, 16,299/07, and 14,254/13.
