Abstract

6863. Vickers, Ltd., and Horne, J. May 7. Sights. - Consists in forming periscopic sights for use with naval ordnance with one or more flat surfaces on the body which are held by screws or other means against flat surfaces on the support. The flat surfaces may be formed on two longitudinal flanges, or, as shown, by three flat-faced bosses a', the support B being preferably formed with shallow recesses to receive them. The sight may be inclined to the vertical and secured to an inclined or vertical support, the lengths of the bosses being different in the latter case.
