Abstract
24,169. British Thomson-Houston Co., [General Electric Co.]. Dec. 16. Thermal current meters; registering maxima; temperature errors, compensating for.-Two bimetallic strips 15, 16 mounted around posts 13, 14 are flexibly connected with a drum on the spindle of the pointer, one strip 16 being heated by a coil 20 mounted in an aperture in the top of the post 14, which acts as a heat-storage member to produce a time-lag, the other strip 15 compensates for temperature error. The heating-coil 20 is connected to terminals on an insulating-block 18 secured to the post by a set-screw 19. The pointer carries a style moving over a paper to register the maximum demand.
