[Cognate Application, 7425/14.] Refuse-destroying stoves; closed solid-fuel stoves ; grates.-A destructor stove for burning household, garden, and other dry refuse, or for heating purposes, consists of a vertical fire-chamber 8 with a conical or like combustion space 11 connected to the chimney 12. The chamber has also a removable air-jacket 13, or conduits or equivalent devices which conduct air to the space beneath the baffle 16. The fuel chamber proper consists of a cage of hollow bars 18 open at the top and bottom and conducting air to the smoke. Gas-rings 34, 37 may be fitted at the top of the bars 18 and between the baffles 35, 36 respectively, to facilitate the combustion of the material and the smoke. Some of the bars 18x are shortened to form a doorway 32 for the combustion space. The bars 18, 18<Î> are assembled in rings 23, 24 which are supported by brackets 27, 28 formed by cutting and bending angle-irons.
