Abstract
12,462. Kron, R. May 28. Pleating &c.-Paper strips a, Fig. 1, are passed through conical folding-tubes b and between compressing-rollers c or other pressing devices, or under tension over an edge c, Fig. 5, to produce evenly - folded parallel - surfaced multiple-layer flat strips. Strips of various sections, as shown in Fig. 7, may be used. The folding and compressing devices may be employed in various textile machines. The Provisional Specification refers to the folding, pleating, corrugating, and goffering of paper strips into flat, oval, or round threads. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 28,937/12, [Class 120(iii), Yarns &c.].
