Abstract
11,528. Sch³tze, W. May 17. Plants, treatment of growing.-Relates to the process of cultivating cotton plants described in Specification 15,151/11. The modified process is also applicable to other plants, such as tea, coffee, cocoa, rubber, fruit trees, &c. The cotton &c. is grown on branches which have been grafted on seed-produced plants, the seeds and grafts for which have been obtained from the same or like parent plant. The plants so obtained are trained in espalier or pergola fashion. To produce parent plants, shoots from a plant of the best quality are grafted on to stems of an acclimatized plant of the same species.
