Abstract

28,980. Carriere, P. C. Dec. 16. Siphon bottles.-The head of a siphon vessel is provided with a side passage 10 fitted with a valve 13 which may be opened by depressing the stem 14 to allow escape of air during the filling of the vessel with liquid through the spout 4, and which also serves as a non-return valve for admitting gas to the interior of the vessel from a, capsule or other container attached to the side opening. A nut 14 on the valvestem to hold the valve closed, and a protective cap 20 may be provided.
