Abstract

25,550. Meyer, W. Nov. 7. [Addition to 21,337/11 and 23,493/11.] Explosives.-Relates to the priming-compositions described in the parent Specifications, and consists in adding thereto silicides of the alkaline earths. One example contains 20 per cent of fulminate of mercury, 20 per cent of antimony sulphide, 40 per cent of barium nitrate, 10 per cent of calcium silicide, and 10 per cent of peroxide of lead. Another example contains mercury fulminate, barium nitrate, potassium picrate, antimony sulphide, barium silicide, and glass powder.
