Abstract
804. Guye, C. E. Jan. 10, 1911, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Resistances, inductive.-An electric arc, used for example in the production of oxides of nitrogen, is steadied by connecting in series with it one or more self-induction coils containing no iron. The coils may be in series, parallel, or multiple series with each other, and may be composed of flat strips, strands, or tubes, arranged so as to give the greatest possible self induction; they may be cooled by oil or air.
