Jackets and covers. -A reinforcing - band which may be fitted detachably between the airtube c and the cover d, or may be embedded in the cover, consists of one or more layers of circumferential wire coils a, a<1> enclosed in rubbered canvas or canvas and rubber and vulcanized therewith. Each coil may be fitted in a rubber or like tubular sheath. The band may be used for repairing worn tyres; and the coils may be omitted from the tread or other part as desired.
