Abstract
18,949. New Hygienic Stove Co., and Greenwood, E. P. Sept. 20. Gas burners; burners, mounting.-Burners are fitted with internal wire-gauze cylinders to prevent back-firing, and are adapted to ignite the coal in a grate when a portable container containing asbestos blocks is not in use. The burner g is rotatably mounted by means of its neck g<111> and its end g<1>, Fig. 8, in brackets f, Fig. 3, is provided with a wire-gauze or perforated metal tube h, Fig. 8, or a wire spring, for preventing back-firing, which tube is fitted over or into a tube i slipped into the burner from either end or formed with the injector chamber g<111> of the burner. Openings i' in the inner tubes enable the mixture of air and gas to be regulated. These tubes h, suitably curved if required, are also employed in duplex, curved, double-ended, and triangular burners for domestic fire-grates.
