181,716. Aktiebolaget Svenska Kullagerfabriken. June 15, 1921, [Convention date]. Locking nuts; nuts. -A self-locking nut 1, has a resilient non- threaded annular extension on its bearing face having a bearing surface 2, an external annular slot 3, and an internal cylindrical slot 4. Modifications in which the internal slot 4 is dispensed with and in which the annular extension is not formed integrally with the nut, but acts as an elastic washer, are described. The bearing surface of the extension and those of the washer are formed conically to ensure uniformity of bearing when the nut is screwed up. Specifications 1930/96 and 948/13 are referred to.
