Abstract

180,058. Owen, J. W. Feb. 18, 1921. Rolling -machines; sheet cutting machines. -A machine for working dough &c. comprises two or more sets of rollers b, b<1>, b<2>, b<3>, a reciprocating knife f to sever the sheet at desired intervals, and a roll e which rotates at a higher speed than the sheeting rolls and feeds the severed pieces between diverging conveyers g, h for coiling the dough. The lower conveyer g is rotated continuously at a high speed while the upper h is rotated in the opposite direction slowly and intermittently by means of ratchet and crank mechanism operated from the roller h<1> and is resiliently supported by the board h<3> mounted on springs h<4>.
