Siphon vessels.-A siphon vessel B for beer and other liquids is provided with a stopper A which serves as a reservoir for the carbonic acid by which the liquid is forced out of the vessel B. The invention is chiefly characterized by the facts that no reducing-valve is used and that the exit valve i<1> for the liquid is opened before carbonic acid has access to the vessel B and remains open after access is closed. The valve i<1> is operated by a screw-down spindle i actuated by a handle n which carries a sector o which acts upon a pin p to open the valve t<1> and allow the carbonic acid to pass through the passages t', w, x into the vessel B. The container A is filled with carbonic acid through a back-pressure valve 1, which when not in use is closed by a cap 7.
