Steering-gear. - A shock-absorbing device for the steering-gear comprises a friction shockabsorber which permits relative movement between two steering members, and springs which restore the members to their normal positions. The steering-arm b is mounted loosely on its shaft a and is connected thereto through a spring- pressed multi-plate friction clutch e. Springs g<1>, carried by the shaft a, limit the movement of the arm and restore it to its normal position on the shaft after it has been displaced.
