Abstract

177,400. Cohen, S. S. March 23, 1921. Guarding against unauthorized use.-Means are provided by which both the clutch pedal and the brake pedal can be locked in a position which will prevent the transmission of power to the road wheels, and will keep the brakes applied. For this purpose a lid or cover 10 is hinged near the pedals 6, 7, so that on moving it into position over them they can be depressed, and the cover be locked in position to the floor-boards, chassis, or other part. Blocks 13, 14 may be fixed to the cover to depress the pedals; and the cover may either be in one piece or in two portions, one for each pedal and each fitted with a lock.
