Abstract
175,228. Ormiston, C. P., and Barry, G. Oct. 4, 1921. Alloys.-Solders for aluminium and other metals and alloys are made bv melting tin and zinc with a previously-prepared hardening alloy consisting of 1 part of brass, 1¢ parts of aluminium, and part of nickel. One part of the hardening alloy may be combined with 28 parts of zinc and 56 parts of tin, or with 36 parts of zinc and 56 parts of tin. In melting the tin and zinc with the hardening alloy, cetacium is used as a flux and refining-agent.
