Vaporizing-apparatus; flame protectors; burners, attaching; wicks.-In an illuminating and heating lamp, a short burner tube C having a conical lower end fits over a wick tube A which screws into the filling aperture of the lamp reservoir. The burner tube is formed with a series of flame apertures between upper and lower flanges D, E. A match applied to the lower flange is sufficient to initiate vaporization and ignite the lamp. A wire C or a narrow metal weight attached to a string is fixed to the lower end of the wick to facilitate its insertion in the wick tube. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller 'to Specifications 2360/76, 7411/93, and 20054/04.
