Abstract

153,973. Propert, W. F. Aug. 19, 1919. Ironwork, constructional.-The framework of a building is formed by bolting together thin sheetmetal strips or bars a which are perforated over substantially the whole surface with bolt holes to facilitate assembly in any desired position. The strips or bars may be flat, angle, channel, or other shape in section. Hollow uprights or beams so formed may be filled with concrete, and the walls may be completed by corrugated plates covered with plaster. Double walls may consist of two corrugated plates having the corrugations vertical and horizontal respectively; the roof may be tiled.
