Abstract

1535035 Cheese press K GASBJERG 9 March 1976 [12 March 1975] 10331/75 Heading A2B A cheese press consists of a "tunnel" formed by an overhead structure, which may comprise a plurality of movable traverses 10, to which are attached pressing members 8, and a conveyor system comprising a plurality of carrier plates 20 on which cheese moulds are supported during the pressing operation. The plates 20 may have pins or holes by which the moulds are positively located thereon. The plates are circulated through the press by means of lifts 16, 18, a pusher 22 and conveyors 12. The moulds and plates 20 may be perforated.
