Abstract

1533582 Mounting rotors in dynamoelectric machines LUCAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 1 March 1976 [6 March 1975] 9289/75 Heading H2A A rotor 24 is mounted within a non-magnetic sleeve 13 journalled in bearings 11, 12. The machine is a brushless A.C. generator in which the rotor has two poles provided by a diametral winding 23, and is excited from exciter 19-21 via rectifier 22. The sleeve 13 has at one end a stub shaft 14, and at the other end a stepped tubular member 15 that supports both the exciter armature 21 and the permanent-magnet rotor 16 of a pilot generator 16-18.
