Abstract

1531415 Safety-belts BRITAX (WINGARD) Ltd 1 Nov 1976 [13 Nov 1975] 46890/75 Heading A3V A slotted belt-guide 7 for a vehicle safety belt 9 is pivoted about its shaft 5 by a lever 13, 16 to prevent bunching of the belt in the guide slot when the angle (in the fore and aft plane of the vehicle) between the belt portions 17, 18 changes e.g. in an accident, the lever being pivoted relative to the guide about an offset pivot 12 and engaging the shoulder belt portion 17. The lever may cause pivoting of the guide by abutments with parts 15 or by means of gearing.
