Abstract
1531103 Pipe connections ENZINGERUNION-WERKE AG 1 Sept 1977 [4 Sept 1976] 36494/77 Heading F2G A container 1 for drinks which tend to separate out, e.g. fruit juice drinks, comprises a connection stub 2 having inner middle and outer connections 4, 5, 6, spring-loaded valve bodies 11, 12, 13 and seats 14, 15, 16 being associated with the connections, the inner connection 4 opening through a pipe 7 into the bottom region 8 of the container, the middle connection 5 opening through a pipe 9 also in the region 8 but at a spacing A above the end of the pipe 7, and the outer connection 6 opening out through openings 22 into the head region 10 of the container. A drawing device 25 may be fixed to the stub 2 and an actuation of a lever 29 the middle part 27 thereof may be moved downwardly to lift valve bodies 11, 12 from their seats 14, 15 as shown in the right-hand half of the drawing, the valve body 13 remaining on its seat and closing off the outer connection 6 in this use of the container. Compressed gas fed to channel 34 will then pass down pipe 9 and bubble up through the liquid to intermix the drink which is forced up the pipe 7 to a drawing-off channel 31.
