Abstract

1526934 Anchors SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 22 Oct 1975 [24 Oct 1974] 46033/74 Heading B7V In a method of installing an anchor 1 in the bottom 9 of a body of water the anchor has jet nozzles to which water is supplied by a hose 5 from a pump 6 so that water jets 10 create a hole 11 into which the anchor sinks, the hole being subsequently filled with a solidifiable substance in fluid condition. Preferably the fluid substance is a water/cement slurry which is admitted to the hole through the jet nozzles and solidifies to form a plug 15.
