Abstract

1523320 Packaging trays LERNER MACHINE CO Ltd 1 Dec 1975 49240/75 Heading B8P A tray, e.g. for supporting shrink-wrapped tinned goods 10, preformed or formed during packaging from a blank 1, e.g. of carton board, comprises a substantially rectangular base 2 with chamfered comers 3, two pairs of opposed walls 4, 4a, and corner walls 5 connecting the walls 4, 4a. The walls 4, 4a, 5 are united by glued areas 9, the corner walls 5 being defined by slits 8 preferably at about 67¢ degrees to fold lines 6 defining the walls 4. The tray preferably has a depth of 0À45 times the diameter of the tins 10, and the walls 5 project upwardly of the walls 4, 4a and define a girth line G which is curved to correspond with the tins 10.
