Abstract
1516544 Drip resistant flame retardant polycarbonate compositions GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 6 Aug 1975 [9 Aug 1974] 32791/75 Heading C3R A flame-retardant composition comprises a polycarbonate, polytetrafluoroethylene in an amount to render the composition non-dripping and from 0À01 to 10 weight per cent, based on the composition, of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt of an organic sulphonic acid or of a halogenated non-aromatic carboxylic acid. The polytetrafluoroethylene is preferably of particle size 0À3 to 0À7 mm and is present in an amount of from 0À01 to 2 weight per cent. Many salts are specified, e.g. sodium 2,4,5- trichlorobenzene sulphonate.
