Abstract

1505034 Piezo-electric generators KUREHA KAGAKU KOGYO KK 27 April 1976 [28 April 1975] 16948/76 Heading H2A A piezo-electric generator comprises a piezoelectric thermoplastic film 2 with electrodes 3, 3<SP>1</SP> on its opposed surfaces, and a generator 4 of mechanical vibrations which vibrations are transmitted to the thermoplastic film to cause it to generate an oscillating voltage across the electrodes. The vibration generator 4 and the film may be mutually movable so as to come into direct contact, with or without the interposition of a protector 5 to prevent damage to electrode 3<SP>1</SP>. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown) the film and the vibration generator are both fixed and an intermediate member (8) is movable into and out of the space between them, the intermediate member transmitting the vibrations to the film.
