Abstract

1504600 Building partition SAINT-GOBAIN INDUSTRIES 28 April 1975 [7 May 1974] 17546/75 Heading E1W A wall, floor or ceiling has a rectangular framework of interconnected first and second framing members supporting plane panels P. The first members have a flange 5 parallel to the plane of the panel P and the second members are of H or T-section with a pair of adjacent flanges also lying in a plane parallel to the plane of the panel P and engaging in a recess in the edge of the panels P. The first and second members are interconnected by a clip A which has a part fitting around, or where the flanges 7, 7a are formed as a rectangular tube, within, an end portion of the second members and a stirrup part 4 slidably engaging over the flange 5 of the first member. The flange 5 may be offset and parallel to the flanges 7, 7a. The panels P may be formed by cladding sheets of sand filled plaster, chipboard or metal on each side of a core layer of glassfibre reinforced elastomer.
