Abstract

1436710 Stove hoods G BAUKNECHT GmbH ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIKEN 28 June 1973 [29 June 1972] 30868/73 Heading F4V An air treatment hood for a kitchen range comprises a stationary housing, a movable frame which closes a lateral opening of the housing, an air inlet opening 24, an air outlet opening 25, a first grease filter 50 movable with the frame, a second grease filter attached to a flange (73, Fig. 3) of the housing, and an impeller (22, Fig. 1) located between the air outlet 25 and an actuated carbon filter 52. When the hood is needed to filter air, the movable frame is withdrawn partially or completely, depending upon requirements. Further, again depending on conditions, a flap 67 may be pivoted from a vertical to an inclined position, causing air to flow through the front of the frame, beneath a baffle 36<SP>1</SP>. The edges of the filters 50, 51 are bevelled to facilitate movement.
