Abstract
1434670 Plastics caps WAVIN BV 28 March 1974 [30 March 1973] 13765/74 Heading B8T [Also in Division F2] A plastics closing cap for pipe parts, particularly sewage pipes, comprises a first cylindrical part 1 which is closed by a corrugated bottom part 2. A second cylindrical part 3 may be provided on the other side of the bottom 2. In the embodiment shown the bottom part 2 has a cylindrical edge 6 which may be corrugated and which protrudes beyond the outer circumference of the part 1. The inner diameter of part 1 is substantially equal to the outer diameter of the part 3 such that part 1 may be slid on to the end of a pipe 7 and part 3 inserted into a socket 8 attached to the end of pipe 8a. A pipe 7a of same outer diameter as pipe 7 but with different wall thickness may likewise be closed by the part 1. Sealing strip 9, held by ring 10, may be inserted between the pipe socket 8a and the part 3. The closing cap is preferably made of waste polyvinylchloride.
