Abstract
1431055 Dynamo-electric machines C RUDSKI 22 May 1973 [1 June 1972 3 July 1972] 25566/72 and 31037/72 Heading H2A A dynamo-electric machine comprises two spaced apart permanent magnets 1, 5, having aligned magnetic axes, the facing poles of the two magnets being of like polarity, and a ferromagnetic core 2 mounted for linear oscillation between the permanent magnets, the core carrying a drive winding 3 and an output winding 4, the drive winding being energized, in use, alternately by direct currents of opposite polarity to cause the oscillation, the oscillation causing a current to be induced in the output winding as a result of the movement of the output winding through the magnetic field of the permanent magnets. The drive winding may be energized from a battery through a switch Fig. 2 (not shown) controlled by the movement of core 2. A multi-unit machine may be formed by employing a combination of several basic machines of the type shown.
