Abstract

1430659 Sliding window frames A FEY 14 June 1973 [14 June 1972] 28276/73 Heading E1J A frame of a sliding window is assembled from member, each having a longitudinal channel 23 facing outwardly of the frame which retains L-sectioned members to form the frames corners, and also having two longitudinal channels 14, 15 facing inwardly of the frame in which are mounted supports 38 for the sliding panes 31, 32, the sliding panes engaging seals secured to the side walls of the channels 14, 15. The supports 38 are spaced channel sectioned members. The seals comprise fibres 33, 34 connected to strips 35, 36. Drainage holes 43 in the bottom of the channels lead to channels 44 secured in the frame and have an outlet 45 with a clip-in wind cover 46. L shaped members with guides for e.g. shutters may be secured to the arm 24, Fig. 3 (not shown).
