Abstract

1428202 Hose reels HYDROSOL 23 May 1973 [24 May 1972] 24724/73 Heading B8M A hose reel comprises two flanges 10A, 10B each formed by arms 16A, 16B which extend radially from a hub 11 and are spaced apart a distance D substantially equal to the diameter of the hose in order to accommodate the hose in a single spiral, the arms of each flange being circumferentially offset relative to the arms in the other flange. The arms 16A, 16B are preferably of rectangular box-shaped cross-section. The hub 11 comprises two coaxial tubes 12, 13 radially joined by a flange 14 and reinforced by braces 15. A circular track 17 is provided spaced from the hub 11 to support the first layer of hose. Between the track 17 and each flange 10A, 10B there is provided an element 18A, 18B which extends from the hub 11 radially to beyond the track 17. The arms 16A, 16B are secured to the elements 18A, 18B by angle pieces 19A, 19B.
