Abstract

1427707 Separating oil from air HYDROVANE COMPRESSOR CO LTD 20 Sept 1973 [21 Sept 1972] 43772/72 Heading BIT An oil/air separator 10 to be used in an air compressor, is divided into compartments by felt pads 20, each compartment containing baffles 24 and 28 whereby air leaving a pad 20 is directed upwardly and then downwardly to a lower portion of the succeeding pad 20. The oil separated from the air drains into wells 27. The oil/air mixture is introduced through inlet tube 15 having apertures 16 and the cleaned air is discharged through outlet 17.
