Abstract

1418123 Knife supports B & J MACHINERY CO INC 25 April 1973 [27 April 1972] 19751/73 Heading D1G The knives 16 of a tufting machine are carried in blocks 20 which engage channels 46 in the front face of the oscillatory knife bar 22. The blocks also present shafts 56 which engage holes 58 in the bar 22 to be secured by screws 62. The channels 46 are so disposed to present the blocks and knives at 12‹ to the veritcal and at an angle of 5‹ to the normal to the front face of the bar. Each block carries two knives in channels 26 and are there secured by clamp means 36.
